WHELDON PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES INC.
Prioritize your mental health
Psychological services go beyond therapy to identify individual needs and customize intervention plans accordingly.
When it comes to stressors and trauma exposure, context matters.
Dr. Wheldon is trained as a clinical forensic psychologist and has extensive experience working with various populations, including those in county jails, state prisons, court systems, foster children, and fire and emergency medical providers.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
At the core of the human experience are questions. Who am I? Who am I in relevance to others? We live our lives as an expression of that narrative. If you've found yourself struggling to navigate the challenges of life, let's work together to ask the hard questions and find ways to improve your quality of life. I work with individuals, couples, and families while using evidence-based psychological interventions. Over the years, I have seen my clients break through old and unhealthy patterns to develop new perspectives and confidence for the future.

I specialize in working with trauma-exposed populations such as foster youth, veterans, first responders, and those involved in corrections. Many of my clients come in for issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, or performance enhancement. I have experience conducting POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training)-compliant pre-employment evaluations, personality and educational assessments (accommodations for SAT, ACT, GMAT), as well as crisis responses.

When deciding on a psychological professional, you are probably looking for someone who understands you, approaches you non-judgmentally, and has the expertise to address your specific needs. I'm glad you've found my page. I've seen the power of an effective therapeutic relationship and I look forward to creating that safe environment for you to achieve your goals.
